my italian flatmate invited us over to his parents place and to spend a wonderful easter-weekend in lombardia.
once again i did a short trip. this time lovely scotland. it was very nice, though glasgow was way more exciting and less touristic then edinburgh. i am sure i will once come back and also visit the countryside.
on august 12th 2011 i became a trainee teacher/instructor in the company i work for. the same night we had our yearly summer party and i got drunk pretty bad. thats when i came up with this. i’d really love to be a decent teacher, an educator even. to fulfill my new assignment even apart from the daily work, i will write my “words of wisdom” for one entire year. i hope you enjoy!
alligators, snakes, black bears and kickass thunderstorms…
after being one night to miami, we got our car the very next day to start off our our trip throughout florida.
visited the city of boca raton and saw the first beautfiful beaches on our roadtrip up to ocala, where some awesome stateparks were waiting for us to be discovered. in silversprings we saw our first real life alligator who proved that swimming really isn’t the best idea in the restricted areas of florida.
fresh from an awesome cool bath in the juniper springs we tried to get to gainesville just an hour away from ocala. a crazy thunderstorm with a tornado warning made driving impossible. there was so much rain that i was happy to park the car on the side of the road.
much later we made it to gainesville, the city with floridas largest university.
so who finds the snake, the cute turtles and the chilly gator on the pictures?
after our awesome days in new york city we took the megabus down to d.c. the tickets were 15$ per person, and the bus was very clean and comfortable. the trip took about four hours.
so here’s the first two days in new york city. what else to say than the typical tourist program…
so what do we have? times square, moma, rockefeller center, wandering through the city without a plan, central park and a fine drinking bar. check, yes!
